A good belt is an investment worth spending money on. A cheap belt can be seen from a mile away. And a good belt will serve you for many years and usually gets better every year. This is definitely a good belt. First, it is important to note that this is aged leather and will continue to deteriorate with age and use. This is very different from straps, which snap because they are cheap. The belt is very well made, has a good thickness and is perfectly well sewn. The buckle is very pretty and I know "nickel free" is important to some but that is not the reason I chose this belt. So the belt is by itself. The reason I took off a star is because the company sewed in the buckle. If I'm paying a decent amount for my belt, I'd rather be able to change buckles at my whim. Almost all other belts I own have either a latch or screw that allows me to swap out the buckle for one from my "collection" if I want to change up the look. I understand that most people won't be interested in the replace feature. But that's the only improvement I would suggest to the supplier. Overall this is a great belt that looks great with slacks/jeans. Update 31st Jan 21 : Having worn this belt almost daily since I got it and seen how beautifully it holds and ages I am changed. My rating is five stars. Yes, I would like to be able to change the buckle of this belt at any time. But the buckle that comes with it is great and primarily one of the benefits of the belt. Therefore I humbly worship and worship this great girdle. I highly recommend it!
