I chose this ring light because it has many color options, comes with a stand and is inexpensive. The remote control works for me. Another reviewer stated that if you stood directly in front of the ring light and pointed at it, the remote didn't work. Do not point the remote control at the light. You need to point it at the control box (see attached photo). The ring light is the display. He doesn't rule the world. It turns out that this lamp has a design flaw. It should not use the USB port. If I had known that, I would have bought a ring lamp with a plug. First, I connected the USB plug to a USB wall charger. The charger keeps overheating. Now I plug it into the USB hub (see photo), the hub doesn't overheat. The backlight is also weak. I would only recommend a travel flashlight if you pack it very well and are very careful about setting it up and storing it.
