Right out of the box I noticed how light the unit is (which might be a plus for some). Part of the rubber feet that hold them in place is visible (they could have done a little more polishing on that part). The USB-C port on the front of the stand feels a bit recessed. The USB-C cable and USB-C stick didn't feel like a tight fit (there wasn't a satisfying click). The USB-A and SD card ports are great, everything fits perfectly and you feel like sure they are connected. The aluminum is a slightly different shade than my 5k 2014 iMac 27 inch (no big deal). The adapter that allows this stand to be used with an iMac without USB-C is really thin, made of plastic and creaks when handled (this is unacceptable) Can't speak about longevity yet, but I'm sure it's good holds. Overall I don't think it's value for money but I might end up leaving because it really is Nothing on the market today UPDATE 04/08/2020 When I first realized last night that I couldn't insert it properly, I pushed it along with the SIM eject tool to snap it into place. I don't use storage media often, but worth mentioning.
