I bought this adapter and a used Kinect to connect to my Xbox One S. It wasn't working and it seemed obvious why - the power adapter that came with the unit Bad. . I happened to have another power supply with exactly the same characteristics (12V, 3A) and connected it. Kinect would not turn on. I asked for the adapter block replacement and received it within a few days. Connected Kinect with the adapter, but still - Kinect would not turn on. At this point I became suspicious of the Kinect and received another used device. A few days later another Kinect appeared and I connected it to an adapter. Kinect would not turn on. At this point, I had two used Kinects and two new power adapters, and neither combination worked. How strange. So I got another adapter (from another company). Both Kinects work perfectly. So yes, this product is extremely unreliable. It cost me two Kinects and countless days of waiting.
