Huge upgrade to standard tweezers. They seemed to have lost some of their luster over the years. Has the quality gone down, have other tweezers improved, have my standards gone up, or a combination of these? I do not know. I switched to the Tweezerman Ultra Precision Tips and restored the shine a bit, a little better than the Tweezerman. Then I decided to try some new models with good reviews. Here are my thoughts. Reviews: The Tweezerman Ultra is a quality pair of tweezers that get the job done. Nice combination of usability, accuracy, sharpness, etc. My favorite. You feel the grip and they won't let go. TweezerGuru - Extra wide tweezers (see photo) that use 90% of the force just to squeeze. Seems to do the job once you get to the hair, but I quickly drop it. Cheapest packaging and feel for me. Zizzili Basics - too sharp (see photo). These were of the best quality. They look and feel great, and accuracy is a better description of them than Tweezerman, but the viewing angle was shockingly sharp to my aging eyes. They felt as if they had cut their hair. They didn't have the grippy feel of the Tweezerman. It might be the pick of an eagle-eyed killer, but not for me.
