Review on Melissa & Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards Review: Classic Toy with 120 Solid Wood Shapes and 5 Double-Sided Panels by Doug Davis

I thought the pieces or maybe the boards were non-stick or magnetic or at least one of the two wasn't slippery. Or maybe the boards have edges to keep the pieces from sliding off when the child tries to put new pieces on the board. The child places a piece on the board, it moves while trying to put a new piece in the right place on the board, which requires constant correction instead of pleasant play or study. And the box has no lid, except for a very thin piece of disposable plastic. This is my least favorite purchase from the Melissa and Doug toy line. I'm really ashamed of the great reviews. My favorite young man played with it for 5 minutes and then he happily threw away all the pieces.
