I've been shaving with a straight razor longer than I can remember and have had many different coasters over the years others will heat your soap and crush it with no problem. I put my dovo on a stand with no problem, my bare armor on a stand with no problem etc etc. Problems of any kind with the bowl or razor on or off, sounds to me like you want someone to shave your face and stop whining. This is a great product and for the money you can't beat highly recommend after I received it and was impressed with it I went to order another and they ran out of them damn if you hear , don't stop with this product, you undoubtedly have a winner
