I was very pleasantly surprised by this wheel. It cost me less than $30 and works great most of the time. The only problem I've had is that it disconnects from the Xbox about every 15 minutes on some days. If the connection is lost, you must remove the batteries, restart and wait for the connection to be restored. This has only been happening for a few days and I haven't found the reason for it. Battery freshness, other devices turned on, humidity, games played - nothing seems to matter. It just happens some days and not others. I found many posts from other people with the same problem on the internet but no solution. Wheel response time is excellent. I was worried it would be a bit delayed but the response comes right away. As soon as you turn the steering wheel, the game reacts immediately. I've played several games with this wheel, mainly Dirt 3 and Need for Speed Hot Pursuit. I've also tried a few other games - new ones work great, old ones (like Harms Way) usually don't - the game only responds when the wheel is fully spun, which is useless. The experience with this wheel depends on the game. . Not much different from arcade games where it doesn't really matter how hard you spin the wheel. But I have a lot of experience with Dirt 3, where it really comes down to whether you spin the wheel a little or a lot. I couldn't make small turns with a regular Xbox controller, and it comes naturally with this wheel. In addition, the throttles on this wheel are much more sensitive than those on a regular controller. As a result, I enjoyed the game much more. Using a regular controller, I would change throttle and direction from 0% to 100% several times per second. With the steering wheel, for example, I can hold a 40% position on the steering wheel and slightly change the accelerator or the brake. Some buttons are missing from the steering wheel - LB, RB and the right joystick. This isn't usually a big deal for most games since you can map actions to other buttons. This is an issue with some non-game actions, such as B.Replay. In Dirt 3, you can only change the camera to LB and RB in playback, and there's no way to tie it to anything else in any way. That means you couldn't change the camera at all. Although in most cases it doesn't really matter. Overall this bike is great, especially for the price. If it weren't for the intermittent power outages, I'd give it a 5+.
