Review on Marie Kids Sneakers by See Kai Run by Tyler Hager

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best shoes I've ever found for my hard living princess. Bought these in multiple sizes

The perfect running shoes for my active toddler, with or without socks and they fit her perfectly. I love that she can put them on and take them off without help and that the pads are nice, snug and secure. She can be picky about shoes and very active. We have the See Kai Run Mary Jane silver watch in three different sizes including this one and I love how pretty it is but at the same time it holds up really well. We had the Chulis and Plae and the regular old Stride Rites and Target. Chouli are great to put on and take off and have nice, fairly gender neutral colors, but don't hold up very well. I find myself taking them off before they grow out because the lining is coming out at the heel. The Plae shoes are ok but the mesh on the pair we tore pretty early for my liking and god they are expensive. I also don't like that they usually only come in very light colors and larger sizes as the smaller sizes and more muted grey/silver colors sell out very quickly. Stride Rites are ok but the velcro sometimes becomes unusable/less "sticky" after a few weeks of traveling with my little princess, also they seem to be too big for my daughter's feet. And I don't like her wearing Stride Rites or Target shoes with no socks because the lining doesn't feel breathable and it's also a little rougher than the See Kai Run lining. I think the See Kai Runs are a bit pricey for a kid's shoe (almost as expensive as my own shoes!) but they hold up really well and are available as hand use for her little sister when she outgrows them (something I Can't speak for other brands we've tried) and it's very easy to put on and take off. I also like sequins because they make the shoes special without being too girly. She calls them her "shiny shoes!" :) I will definitely be buying them in plus sizes for her over the years (and honestly wish they were my size!).

Pros
  • for little girls
Cons
  • Requires a power outlet
