I work for a safety company that makes respirators for the workplace. All are NIOSH approved. These KN95 are not the same and they are not NIOSH approved. I bought these KN95s for use where face masks are required as I was already fully vaccinated. They are more comfortable and pack away easily. The Chinese KN95 is very, very close to the same N95 filtration standards set by the US National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). They can be used privately. Don't buy it for your workplace if an N95 or NIOSH approved respirator is required. US law has not changed in this regard for the workplace. You need one of the 9 NIOSH approved filter standards. N95 is the most common or used.
