I'll admit I was initially skeptical as we had never used magnetic chargers before so we ordered both the round and this one and both worked fine but the round ones When the cases didn't fit our iPhones or iPods perfectly you have to stretch the case around the charging port, they just fit snugly and charge great when the kids run around catching the cot our iPhones don't. It no longer flies, it just shuts off, reducing the possibility of damaging the phone. The only issues I've found is when you buy 10ft cables they seem to come loose easier than 6ft cables and the other is when I plug my phone in on my commute sometimes when I press a good hit and the phone disconnects, but it's easy enough to fix while driving. Just grab the cord and place it next to the phone and it will instantly snap into place, and don't worry about those round chargers we use for baby electronics. Therefore, they can no longer use our chargers. Update: 01/26/21 - Let's start by saying these plugs have amazing magnets for a good connection with the cable, but. As it is powerful I have found 2 problems with it 1. If you are grinding steel, cutting or near ferrous metals, the connector that plugs into your phone will, I repeat, attract dust to make a good connection , if not impossible, but you can get most of it with a good quality brush. 2. If you have wireless headphones with good speaker magnets, and use them to charge, there may be some case problems, such as: Fall when I opened the lid. now for the worse and it's not necessarily the company's fault but i have 3 cats and they are so addicted to string they try to chew it and yes sometimes they carry it away so i left the house after the must search cable and the culprit. Now the good thing is they still work as they should, with fresh, clean connectors. They work perfectly and have saved my phone and ipod several times from being ripped off my bedside table and thrown across the room by my kids or cats and they are great for connecting my phone to my laptop overall I still give it 5 stars, for that reason alone it's worth upgrading later for the cost savings from repairing my phone. 17/2121. Ok, probably last update. The metal at the end of the connector that fits your phone has become an annoying problem. It was a bit annoying at first but over time it stopped me from charging my phone multiple times until I cleaned it or it shorted out the charger and if this persists I'm back to stabbing my phone instead fry the board or a charger and start a fire but if you work in an office or somewhere you don't come into contact with a lot of metal this charger would be for you! 3/10/21 After only a few months of use we stopped using these chargers, the connection dropped badly due to a problem with the metal razor and this rendered them useless to kill my phone. great idea, poor execution, if they could fix this I'd happily go back to the magnetic replacement
