This is my second purchase of a Havit mechanical KB and mouse set. The first was with a wrist rest, it was a family pc setup and it was excellent they loved it. I have a different build and my nephew doesn't like using the wrist rest so I decided to buy him this combo. This is a good discount without the palm rest. I want the package to open from the top instead of the side. Keyboard + mouse for easier unpacking. But otherwise this combination is excellent. As soon as you take them out of the box, the first thing that strikes you is the premium quality of this product. The aluminum upper frame feels very stiff and doesn't give way under pressure. The keycaps are made of plastic with a matte finish. In comparison, my main KB has smooth keycaps and they save tallow. This makes the matt surface easier to maintain and clean. The blue switches are really clicky, most gamers like clicky buttons. But these buttons are a little softer to press compared to the usual mechanical blue KB switches. But the haptic feedback is still great. Testing this KB + mouse combo in an FPS game gave amazing results. Feedback is good, no lag or key lag. I'm not a big fan of RGB lighting, I just put it in "breathing mode" and forgot about it. This KB and mouse combo features customizable RGB lighting. You can set them up with the software, but you can also change them with the FN keys without installing any additional software. The same goes for the mouse, which has a button to change the RGB style. You can change the DPI settings up to 6 different settings on the fly with the mouse, but there isn't a default 1200 DPI setting that most gamers use. The next best option is 1600 DPI, which I think is a very small difference. I was able to play with this keyboard for 2 hours without any problems. In terms of performance, it only took me a few minutes to get used to the keyboard and mouse and get back to my gaming style. Overall, this combo is a great option for budget gaming builds. They are comparable to those costing over $100. If you prefer a keyboard with a palm rest, look for another option at an additional cost, but if you're comfortable without a palm rest, this combo is for you. Will i buy it again? Well this is my second set for another build so yeah. Highly recommended.
