Once I figured out that the seat was "raked," it was easier to put together. Once you realize that you keep the top to holes visible on the arms, it's a breeze to assemble. And make sure you use the thicker "F" bolts for the seat. It's sturdy but my oh my - these are small, low to the floor patio chairs. Which is better for guests and a great couple we know that are both under 5' 8". Not uncomfortable for larger people but I'd suggest looking at larger chairs if you plan on sitting on them for a long period of time.
