Second update - This is my second and last stand. The button didn't work again. This time it's all by itself. Interior work is obviously cheap. Such a stand should be from last year, not two weeks old. I am extremely disappointed. Update, well, it won't be long now. Problem with plastic parts. Once I accidentally leaned on it (rolled over it in bed) and the mechanism holding it in place completely collapsed. Too bad, but I learned the hard way to be careful with him. I've ordered a new one because my original guess is still valid, but I wanted to warn you to be careful. Original review: This is a great little coaster! I've been looking for something to use with my Kindle HD 10 in bed and I'm very happy with its stability in either portrait or landscape mode, even on soft surfaces. It is fully adjustable and can be used at steep angles without fear of it tipping over. I've also used it with my iPad 2 and Kindle HDX 7 with no problems, it's advertised as heavy aluminum which is partly true. The stand (the part that actually holds the weight) is actually made out of durable plastic. However, this stand is designed to support tablets that aren't very heavy, so I don't see that as a problem. It has a button that you have to press to change the angle of the stand. It's very hard and I have to use both hands to do it. It's a little annoying, but it also makes me think the spring clasp is very strong and will last a long time. What I like best is that it's small and folds completely so I can take it with me anywhere. The photos show it with my HD10 at work (hard surface), but it works just as well in bed (soft surface).
