The reason I was looking for this item was simple - I had pain in my left arm due to bursitis/arthritis and unfortunately my bedside table and the bedside table next to the sofa on my left. I like to have a cup of coffee in bed in the morning and have some water or other beverage while watching TV in the evening. Constantly lifting a coffee cup or other beverage with my left hand wasn't helping my bursitis, and I found something to put the cup or glass down so I could lift it with my right hand for a change. Real world problems, I know. LAUGH OUT LOUD. Anyway, I found this little gem while searching on Revain and I've been using it for about the last week since I got it. It's very well made, holding a cup, mug or even a glass of wine and quite comfortable even if you just want to rest your hand on it. It also has plenty of places to put the remote control, a pair of glasses, etc. My goal isn't to be a complete couch potato, but it does help keep my left hand from deteriorating while it heals. It may seem a little pricey, but it's very well made and I like it.
