Review on Butora Altura Regular Climbing Shoe Outdoor Recreation and Climbing by Justin Quinones

Amazing shoes - highly recommend

Amazing shoes. I wear TC Pro. I sent them in and ordered them as a replacement because I have a wide foot and hate my replacement shoes (Squama) for the nature of the climbing. These shoes fit my feet tighter in a size 10 than TC Pros in a size 10. On TC Pros I can wear fast wicks (really thin socks) with them. Alturas socks fit nicely in these socks, although I'm sure they will stretch with wear. The shoes are stiff, which is what I expect from a climbing shoe. If you want a thinner bouldering shoe, then this shoe isn't for you. If you plan to do a lot of outdoor climbing (slab, crack, sport, trad) this shoe compares very well to the TC Pros. I am grateful to Altura for having wide and narrow shoes. Butora recommends ordering half a size up for a comfortable fit and a full size up for a more comfortable fit. Technically my shoe size is 9.5 so I went for a size 10 which is perfect. I highly recommend these. 1 month update: I still love this shoe! They're so good for smearing, tiny toe hooks, and great for the crack I'm projecting. The only complaint I have (small) is that my heel doesn't fit well in the shoe despite my toes resting on top. This causes some shoe farting (mostly when I step there is extra air due to the tiny space near the heel). No big problem just makes me laugh when I start the route :D. Great shoes
