Review on AUTOSAVER88 Rear Hatch Struts Tailgate Shocks Trunk Spring - Compatible with Honda Odyssey 2005-2010 Liftgate Lift Support (2pcs) by Aaron Schultz

First I put them in my cart and then I was interrupted before ordering. When I came back an hour later, they had to make me pay another $5 for the exact same item. Shame about Revain or Autosaver88! This looks like a scam! Now to the real issues: This product was ordered to replace a worn tailgate bracket on a 2005 Honda Odyssey. When the new props arrived they were about 2 inches shorter and much smaller in diameter than the original ones. I could see a sticker on the packaging saying they should be compatible with the 2005-2010 Odyssey, so I gave them a head start. Doubt and tried. I noticed right away that the door doesn't open all the way, but I figured I could live with that. But when I let go of the door, they couldn't take the weight of the tailgate. Apparently not the right part for my car regardless of what the sticker/Revain product info says. Also (this is NOT Autosaver88's fault), when I removed the original supports, the rear glass shattered as soon as the second piston was released (without making contact with the glass!) A very frustrating and expensive attempt at auto repairs in general! They will be back and I will wait for the arrival of a new kit and glass mechanic.
