This purchase resolves the single thing I haven't enjoyed about my Merrell hiking shoes: The round laces always untie themselves. These are the perfect solution. Very pleased. The one thing odd that I didn't catch while reading the listing is that these come in two pairs. This is not the seller's fault, they clearly indicate this. Why? I have no idea, but they did their part to explain the packaging.It so happens that I needed two pairs for two sets of Merrill's in varying stages of wear (I do love those shoes). Unfortunately, as reading comprehension is not always my forte, I ended up buying two pairs of two pairs, but different colors, so I could quickly tell my Sunday-go-to-meeting Merrels apart from my everyday work shoes. Now I have a pair of pair spares.
