I haven't had a printer or scanner in years, but I thought it was about time. After looking at many other products, I settled on the PIXMA TS5020 because it was reasonably priced, had a scanner, could print wirelessly, allowed me to easily change the color ink I needed, and most importantly, it should come with a Sunday. So I have to say it was easy to set up - just make sure you have printer paper on hand as it doesn't even come with a small stack in the box and you will need paper to complete the setup and calibration. So it was really just a connection. Follow the on-screen instructions to remove the packing materials, load paper, print a test page, scan a test page, and then use the included CD to upload to the network. -ROM that allows you to connect directly to the printer to set up a wireless network from your computer - make sure you know your Wi-Fi password by heart as it disconnects your computer from your network when it is connects directly to the printer. This all took about 10 minutes and it was possible to print. Printing is fast and of high quality, images and text are clear. The scanner scans fast but is a bit noisy, not like a jackhammer outside the window at 7am but loud enough that I figured why not add some soundproofing or some wd-40 to the scanner to make it quieter. Overall I would buy this printer again without hesitation.
