Thanks for the accurate measurements, they are always important to me. I ordered one of the silver drawers to organize electronics and batteries and free up space in my utility closet. It was fairly easy to follow the instructions and assemble, all I needed was a Phillips head screwdriver for the 4 screws provided. I didn't notice any chips or damage on the surface. The block is light, ideal if you want to move it. I wouldn't use it for heavy objects or put heavy things on it. It's designed to be stackable, but I'd recommend fixing it in that case. The drawers pop out at the front if you keep pulling, but have a stop at the back. It can be good for office or craft supplies.
