We liked our first pair so much that we bought a second pair when they were too big. They were the perfect outdoor tennis shoes for our little girl. I bought her when she was just starting to walk. The difference in fading is related to the level of wear on the first pair. They have been stained multiple times and machine washed. She also wears them as water shoes on the lake or river. They make the perfect hybrid shoe, wet or dry. They walk easily in them and they fit snugly around the elasticated ankle so they don't slip as easily as other slip-ons. Even after many machine washes, they have not fallen apart or lost their structure. I love these shoes and will probably order again when it's time to go back in size!
