My 5 year old twin daughters were thrilled to get these for their birthday and couldn't wait to put all their toys inside. They need a lot of stuffing, so there's a good chance you won't have enough to fill them. We stuffed a giant "couch blanket" into it and it still didn't fill it up. They're also a bit small - even for my 5-year-old - so you might find that they enjoy stuffing them but not sitting on them. If you adjust the upholstery and give them the shape of a chair, they might work well, but once the kids are used to the sofa, they probably won't get them to sit down. Overall a good idea but the jury is still out on how practical they are as chairs, but they are great for storage (and very durable).
