Review on GUNNAR Gaming and Computer Glasses: Riot, Onyx, and Amber Tint - Blocking 65% Blue Light for Enhanced Performance by Kyle Ahmed

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Frame broke after less than 2 hours of use

Original review, 2/5: A little history about me; I've worn Rx goggles since first grade. I know how to clean and treat glasses and in over 25 years I have never broken a pair of glasses. I've recently switched to contact lenses and wanted to try and reduce the eye strain I'm experiencing and remember seeing them on Shark Tank and a 'Yellow Tag' store so figured this brand would be reliable enough to try. As soon as I opened them I noticed that they felt light. Not the best light either. cheap feeling. I would like to give a long term review, but when I went to clean it after 90 minutes with the cloth provided, the frame broke and the lens fell out. (Photo attached to review) Fortunately, Revain has a good returns policy. Cheaper than Gunnar's other offerings, these glasses definitely stand out. I'm also very frustrated as they seem to have helped with eyestrain in the short amount of time I've been able to wear them. 2/5 rating as they actually worked but the fact that they broke within 2 hours of purchase. makes me reconsider the Gunnar brand for a spare pair. ------ I've updated my rating to 3/5. Revain has been great (as usual) when it comes to sending a spare pair. They managed to last over 2 hours! The problems I could not find in a short time with the original pair are reflections! My god, these things are hard to see when there is a big light in front of you (window, lamp). I can see the reflection of my own eye and various other reflections of my surroundings. Nothing detailed but they look like a bruise in my vision from certain angles and can be distracting. I'll try them again later in the day, but I might want to switch to a different brand that doesn't have magnification. I have very high prescriptions and even the slightest change in either direction (+/- prescription) will strain my eyes trying to refocus. I'm curious to try them out when playing at night, I think with all the flaws I've listed they can really shine in this situation.
