Review on LSE Lighting Zephyr Milano Europa by Josh Gerhardt

Not perfect but not much choice

This is the best replacement I could find for my Zephyr Milano hood (installed in 2006). I bought perfect replacement bulbs from my local electronics store but they closed the shop. I've tried several substitutions. None of the LEDs I tried worked because: the light cone is too narrow, the wrong length, the front face (around the glass) has vents - a very bad idea for a hood to release greasy vapor there, where he doesn't belong. I do not belong to it. Of the halogen lamps, this came closest to the ideal. It gives a star because the light is less intense and because the length is not ideal, the length sits about 1-2mm lower. It wouldn't matter much if they didn't announce it as a special offer from Zephyr Milano. Tip for owners of this hood: You can adjust how low/high the lamps are by bending the lamp arms/brackets. The procedure is in the manual (many people throw it away without reading it). To do this, I first have to remove the filters from the wire mesh on my model (G ZML-M90G). Once I do that I can see the lamp sockets but still can't access them. To do this I have to remove the "cups" holding the filters with a screwdriver.
