Gift boxes that go from 'flat' to 'boxes' are not exactly a new invention and there are many such boxes with decorative designs. This box is based on the gift unwrapping idea shown on TV: the recipient separates the wrapped top from the wrapped bottom without tearing the paper. But this box is so hard to assemble that I could easily repackage something from scratch and get a better result. Fold, bend, put on. Not complicated, but it's easy to rip flimsy wrapping paper if you're not careful. And the sides don't "snap" or snap in any way as shown in the video from the site. They won't stay in place without me adding masking tape. The paper isn't fully taped to the box either, making it look sloppy. As for reusing the box, no way: it looks a little shabby from one assembly, it only gets worse from there. You can purchase pre-made boxes at the Dollar Store if you simply need to unwrap the gift.
