They help but fall off easily

When on my dog's paws they work great and provide traction on tile floors. However, it is impossible to stop them from falling. Velcro closure, velcro closure over the leg. Nothing lasts longer than a few minutes. Even when they're on, they twist around his leg so the rubber is on the sides of his legs, not underneath. This results in more slippage than no socks at all. In general, they're useful when properly enabled, so I need to find a way to make them work better.
