My favorite battery case, ever!

Made of a matte finish black rubber, it feels good in the hand. It doesn't add much girth as compared to what I'm already carrying, and it's anything but slippery. Like all battery cases, it's heavy. And that should be expected since you've just added a battery to your phone that is about 1.5x bigger than the factory battery. But that also means that you can expect that this case will give you about 2.5x the battery life that you are currently accustomed to, in a convenient and easy to carry case.I love that the case uses a lightning cord to charge. Nothing I hate more than an iPhone accessory that expects me to carry some sort of extra cord just to support it. So there is the convenience of being able to charge and sync with your existing cables and chargers. The case itself has it's own Lightning Port for charging, and it will charge your phone via Qi (the same way it charges your phone on the go) while it charges itself. The great news about this case is that it leaves your iPhone's Lightning port accessible so you can still use CarPlay, corded headphones, or any other thing that you may want to use your Lightning Port for. And this is the first case that I've ever seen do that. It's such a simple thing that is simply genius. While the case does use Qi to charge your iPhone X, it doesn't support wireless charging to charge itself. That seems a little silly, at face value, considering out simple it would be to add it. But Qi is slow, as compared to what can be accomplished with a Lightning Port. And there's a lot of battery here that needs to be charged. So Qi might not be able to top off both your battery case and the phone, in an overnight wireless charging scenario.Expect AT LEAST a 12-hour charge cycle at the end of your day. And if you drained the battery completely, it could go as long as 24-hours to completely recharge both your phone and this battery case. But if you are concerned about getting it all done, you can charge both your phone and your case, at the same time, using two Lightning Cords and an appropriate, high-power charging source.I've tested and used a great many cases over the years, and this is far, and away, the one I am most excited about. Since my iPhone X is likely to be replaced later this year, I'm hopeful this simple little trick of leaving the Lightning Port uncovered is added to all of their future cases. It's certainly something that I'm going to be demanding from any case that I buy moving forward.

Pros
  • Freedom to use your phone worry-free without having to worry about battery life
Cons
  • May not fit all phone cases
