Review on ๐ŸŽฎ Orzly Carry Case: Protective Portable Travel Case for Nintendo Switch & New Switch OLED Console - Black Shell Pouch with Pockets for Accessories & Games by Pavel Craig

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent desktop travel case

Overall this is a very comfortable case that can hold everything I need from a portable Nintendo Switch experience. The case features a tough black rubber shell with dual zipper closures, a molded switch area, attached joysticks, and an accessory pouch. The bag also features a convenient carry handle on the back of the bag with a molded rubber grip. The Switch console section also features two elastic straps to hold the console in place when the case is open. There is a middle part of the case that only covers the screen area to protect it from damage that you can put in another pocket and this part serves as game card storage with small game card slots. However, there's no storage space for additional microSD cards to carry around. This isn't much of a hurdle, as you could theoretically fit it into a gaming card slot (the mesh on the slots is thin enough that the microSD card won't fall through). The accessory pocket, located opposite the console, has mesh and stretch mesh that keeps accessories in place. However, since this mesh only covers about 2/3 of the bag area, I've found that how you place your accessories in this bag will make a difference in whether everything stays in place when you open the bag or you don't get dropped have to catch things out. This is especially important on an airplane. However, I can comfortably fit two additional Joy-Cons (with side covers), the Joy-Con side covers currently attached to the Switch console, and the Nintendo-supplied power adapter in the accessory pouch. - Because there is no distinctive mark on the outer rubber shell of the case and the appearance of the case looks symmetrical, it is easy to open it upside down and accidentally drop accessories. My personal solution to this problem is to always zip from right to left when closing (since there are two, you can theoretically zip either way). Having made this a rule, I always know that the bag is upside down when the handle is at the back, the zipper is closed, and the zipper heads are on the left side of the bag. This is a minor annoyance at first; But once you get acquainted with the design of the case, everyone will instinctively know which way it normally closes. Even though it was a breeze to close the case and lock it with all my accessories inside, I noticed a seam that was visible when the case was closed. This appears to be normal and doesn't seem to indicate a weakness in the case design upon initial testing; but only time will tell. I'm a lighter user of the Switch handheld mode; but if I later find that the stitching is beginning to unravel, I will come back to update my review and report the potential defect to Orzly. . Even for electronics enthusiasts who love the smell of new electronics (cheers to Pavlovian scholarship), the smell is a little overpowering at first. I left the suitcase open on the first day of ownership as I have not traveled nor used it and the smell has mostly dissipated. Pros: - Comfortably fits everything you need to play in tabletop handheld mode - Console is protected from accessories by protective disk - Game storage inside protective disk - Molded console pocket and elastic straps keep console securely in place - The sturdy case feels durable - Comfortable grip for easy carrying Cons: - The accessory pocket is not adequately covered with mesh to prevent accessories from falling out without paying attention to how they are inserted - The symmetrical exterior design makes it easy to carry the Opening case upside down, making it riskier to throw it Accessories - No dedicated storage for microSD cards (although game card slots can be used as card slots) - Strong plastic smell for hours upon first opening - Flat black exterior is functional but not as attractive like some other housing. am satisfied. This case is inexpensive and seems to do the job of storing everything you need for gaming on the go. The sleek, matte black design leaves a lot to be desired aesthetically; but the case's functional interior makes up for this shortcoming, especially given the good price.
