I bought this in the middle of a car upgrade for my 2008 Toyota 4Runner. In combination with the Sony XAV-AX100 main unit, the camera delivers razor-sharp videos when backing up. It's also quite discreet and looks OEM at first glance as it perfectly matches the driver's side license plate light. Installation was straightforward, although I did stick to the factory wiring to avoid liftgate window movement. This caused me to run out of cables, which was fixed by a quick trip to Walmart for more cables. If you have a smaller car or a car without a power liftgate window, the length listed should fit. Also, the camera is equipped with a bright LED for the license plate light, so make sure you have a T10 LED bulb for the opposite side. Put some washers between the factory mounting point and the camera assembly before screwing in the stock license plate light, otherwise the assembly will sit flush with a small ledge blocking the upper field of view when reversing. Washers create additional space and give you an unobstructed view. Overall a great purchase!
