The fabric is 40% silk and 60% viscose and if you're not keen on a big white tag (that doesn't match your outfit) flying around your neck and you try to cut it off the label indicates 40% viscose, it unweaves part of the scarf. I had to take this cheap scarf to my local tailor after (overcarefully using small scissors) removed the tag and the process turned this cheap scarf into an expensive one. Either wear a large white tag with the viscose content or remove the tag at your own risk. Wouldn't have bought it if I knew it would have a big white tag on it.
