Feels like an old TV antenna
Due to the stability of the base and the fragility of the tripod, it really does feel as solid as an old TV antenna. I have an iPhone mini and thought I'd hack it to fit my pen - it's popped out on me a couple of times. The "ring light" is a cheap plastic clip attached to a battery powered LED bulb in a flashlight body. I have satisfied my curiosity.
