Beautiful! The packaging adds to its giftability! Keeping it protected = happy customer. Absorbs water immediately after I pour some on one of the coasters in the top left corner in the image shown. When dry, it reverts to its design (for water). After allowing it to dry for 10 minutes there is still a minimal difference in tone but this is a ceramic stone style so it will take some time but it absorbs quickly enough not to spill on the table and THAT is important , so what a hooray! I suppose spilled coffee or other drinks can (obviously) change colour, but I haven't attempted to clean it as I'm unsure on that area and would rather not ruin it just to look - but I bet soap dawn and a rag will pay tribute! I wouldn't use a magic eraser on something like this because of its design, and magic erasers erase designs from objects. So stick to the classics: water + soap on a light-colored rag. I still do this to get rid of new stains. Or the natural stain remover I bought on Amazon. The design is the same as the picture, classic + completely minimalist. It was really hard to choose a coaster set and I think this set can complement any style, be it modern and contemporary, country style or you like a clean classic look. When giving this as a gift it's always nice to add a gift receipt in there :)
