They are beautiful and I was dying to try them. They don't show through my clothes and I love the contoured shape - they stay in place! However, the second pair I wore caused what can best be described as burning the areola. It even irritated my skin, I had abrasions on my left breast where I had to apply lanolin to soothe and heal! On my second test, the inside of this pair of pads wasn't as soft as I first thought: rub them on one side and yes, they're soft, but rub your finger "wrong" (against the fibers) and they get soft . really scratchy and rough! Yes, I washed them beforehand. However, I love them enough, I'll try to make them work. I'm currently soaking the spiky pair in fabric softener and will try others to make sure it's not a fluke as the first pair I wore were great. Maybe not all pairs are made equal at the factory? I will update with results. Update: The other pairs are fine, only one pair keeps giving me abrasions for some reason. I'll assume it's coincidence and see if the seller replaces a pair. Update 2: The seller sent me a new box, very satisfied. I don't need that much so I gave them to a friend who just had a baby. Raise the rating to 4 stars, if a friend loves her and doesn't sting, she'll raise it to 5.
