Beautiful mirror ruined by rapid battery drain and poor design

I rated this product as a complete failure realizing I might have a lemon. An LED based light will drain the batteries very quickly which shouldn't happen as the lights are low power LEDs. My wife only turns it on for a few minutes each morning and turns it off when not in use. However, brand new high capacity Energizer batteries ran out of juice in just a few weeks. I changed the batteries and it happened again. At the moment I have already exceeded the 30-day return period as it took about 3 months to verify the problem. A secondary gripe with this product is the cheap/poor design of the battery compartment. To change the batteries you will need someone with very large hands to grasp the outside edge of the mirror and gently rotate and lift the mirror off the base to gain access to the LED and battery compartment. The mirror is simply attached to the substrate by pressing indentations. A much better solution would be to house the batteries in an easily accessible compartment at the base of the stand. It is a pity that this design and the energy loss spoil this product because the quality of the mechanism and the mirror is good. I suggest buying a lighted mirror with a power cord to avoid these problems.
