I love this angled handle design. One key difference is that the Zomei control head's arm is a firm, downward-curved, and longer handle than my other portable tripod. While that's the only major difference, I actually prefer this handle to be longer and curve down. This gets it out of the way of the camera mount and also provides a better control angle for adjusting the camera position. That one feature is worth the $8 difference to me. But for those unimpressed by that grip, a cheaper tripod may be in order. However, I like the design of this tripod. So this is a 5 star item for me.
