Review on Bose SoundLink Micro: Small Portable Bluetooth Speaker (Waterproof) by Ada Banas ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

It was a reasonable purchase, I will order more.

In general, an excellent column if you can get it thousands for three to four and a half. More expensive, taking into account the "nuances", in my opinion, already bold. But as a portable speaker without regard to price - almost ideal. Pros below: Sound. Sound, sound, sound - chic, signature Bose sound. The reaction of any person who is not familiar in advance: "Where is there so much sound in it?!" Moisture protection. Really, if you do not climb inside - protection from everything - dirt, moisture, dust, children, cats and meteor showers. I work in hospitals, and after placing the column on a "doubtful" surface, it can be treated even by immersion in a disinfectant solution. Size, weight, strap with latch. I calmly carry it in my backpack, forgetting that it is even there. The strap allowed you to attach it to the steering wheel and use it as a headset until you installed a new radio with BT. I charge only when I suddenly remember about it. For all the time, only once discharged to the first signal of a low level. Appearance for an amateur, but in general aesthetics for 5+ (for me). I took it in orange so that it stands out against most backgrounds, if I try to lose it. I didn’t think before that there is such a stylish orange shade) Yes, if you decide to accuse of bias because “I don’t want to admit that I bought crap for a high price” - keep in mind that it was bought at a discount in the German Amazon, for 59 euros, with free shipping and a subsequent refund of 19% VAT, on a business trip. Different cons: Now let's list all the problems that it certainly has. 1) A certain number of people, depending on preferences, the structure of the hearing aid and other factors, the sound will be unpleasant. This is a fact, as well as the absence of aptX (although here, IMHO, it is useless). I recommend going and listening before planning a purchase. 2) For optimal sound, it should lie (just lie) on a hard, flat surface. And the most important. 3) The column works on BT LE, and, as it turned out, it never completely turns off. Really. After pressing the "Power" button, its lights go out and the sound turns off, but as soon as any device paired with it starts polling the air for familiar IDs, it will immediately wake up happily and connect, selecting the audio stream. In the case of the phone, you may not immediately understand that it was your backpack that started yelling Rammstein's latest album to the whole car. In the case of a laptop. even more fun. You sit like this in the kitchen at night, open your laptop, watch pornhub in headphones and think: "Strange. the third video in a row and no sound?" And the backpack lies in the geometric center of the apartment and for ten minutes now it has been pleasing all the household members, because - you are wearing headphones, you even turned up the sound to check that the sound is not just quiet, but absent. Nightmare, in short =) There are already several kilometer-long topics on the bose forum on this topic, and the message from the developers is the same: this is not a bug, this is a feature; We will not change, because the managers said that the function of easily linking several columns into one system should work smoothly, and it works precisely through this mechanism. This is solved only by prohibiting auto-connection on the source device, or turning off BT.
