My OEM charger for my old Acer Chromebook lasted 4 years but sadly died. I was going to buy a modern Acer Chromebook anyway, so I went with the cheapest Chinese replacement charger. The power cord (not AC, DC) died from an internal rupture in my first replacement charger after just a few months of use. Again, I opted for a cheap Chinese replacement, knowing I would only be using my old Chromebook as an emergency backup. Both Chinese replacements have an LED indicator to show that the charger is plugged into a good outlet.
