Don't sit at home when you're sweating

UPDATE ON PREVIOUS REVIEW: My headphones stopped working in a little less than a month. On my most recent run, they shut off after running for less than 1 hour (headphones fully charged overnight). No low battery indicator; They just turned off while my music was playing. Now they won't charge (the red light is still on after being plugged into the USB charger for a whole night) and the headphones won't turn on. Waste of money and time - first and last purchase of JVC headphones for me. ORIGINAL REVIEW: The sound of these wireless headphones is pretty good. I use them three times a week on my 1.5 hour morning runs. I charge them after each use, so I can't speak about the battery life for extended use. Having had them for a few weeks now I can say they are not used in the summer. Even though it's fall, it's been a wet couple of mornings here in Texas where I've been drenched in sweat and the headphones wouldn't stay in my ears. I tried both sizes with the same result. The sweat in my ears also seemed to have caused the headphones to fail - the volume knob adjusted on its own - I adjusted the volume with my smartphone and the JVC knob turned it all the way back up. I thought the headphones had failed, but the next time I used them they were working fine again. In my experience, I would NOT describe them as sweat-resistant. Otherwise they stay in my ears and are comfortable. The next best thing to the original Yurbud headphones I've come across. Bluetooth connection is stable and easy to connect with your devices. First, I found the remote was too far to the right to comfortably wear (i.e., hop around your neck) these headphones while running. Since I wear a baseball cap when I run, I wrap the cord around the back of the traffic controller on my cap and it works great to keep the remote on the back of my head and not bounce.

Pros
  • Plenty of positive vibes
Cons
  • Negativity is present
