Review on Columbia Sportswear Twist Jacket Marine by Andrew Dickens

Another great winter jacket from Columbia. My 12 year old son loves it :-). We're an outdoor family - skiing (alpine, nordic and backcountry), snowboarding, snowshoeing, sledding etc. all winter long in all weather conditions. This jacket is warm, dry and comfortable with good freedom of movement. The powder skirt that can be clipped to the jacket when not in use is a plus and the multiple pockets make it easy to carry everything you need. My son especially likes the iPod pocket and cable clip. ;-) The hood is fleece lined, the back and chin area are great and the neck/hood construction forms a natural neck seal. The pull out sleeve feature means we'll last at least two years in this jacket (like we did with his previous Eno jacket) and the quality means it will serve another kid just as well if our son does it outgrows :-) The only feature we missed is the Omni-Heat liner, which was on his previous Eno jacket - bring it back please! Many winter jackets are made of a heavy, stiff material that makes the jacket bulky and restricts freedom of movement. It's a soft, lightweight (but warm!), non-bulky fabric that makes it easy for my son to play his favorite sport. A cool pattern doesn't hurt either ;-)
