Review on OXO Good Grips Bottle Cleaning Brush by Paul Barnes

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Ideal for thin utensils; meh for real jug and glass cleaning.

I wanted to LOVE this brush and I love a lot of OXO products. I was looking for a great bottle brush for cleaning glasses, various jars (Mason/Ball for storing liquids), latte mugs, travel mugs and portable water bottles and "glasses" (e.g. this. not what I expected or have used: the bristles are very fine and very soft. As such it's GREAT for cleaning wine and beverage glasses this type of fine crystal - soft and won't scratch. BUT if you need a bottle brush, things like a dried out smoothie from your jar, or leftover fat from a broth, or a homemade salad dressing, or a marinade that was in a Mason storage jar, or leftover coffee grounds/milk from the beverage container etc etc... this brush is NOT THAT (IMHO )!The bristles are too soft to effectively handle this cleaning, even with aggressive brushing (which isn't necessary.) I've had it for about 7 weeks and I don't think it will hold up well if we use it for a long time for a "hard cleaning", so it's been prioritized to specifically cleaning our wine/champagne glasses (which I haven't prioritized all, but...what hey, I'll leave it at that.) I kept looking and found two more hardcore bottle brushes - they're on sale here on Amz. and add one from Scotchbrite which is good and another from BlenderBottle. Both have minor flaws, but overall they're commendable.
