I don't usually turn on streetlights. I like Christmas lights, but when they're outside I can't see them unless I pull up. And I really don't want to run cables to connect them every day. So I put them in every room for a cool floral mood. But when I saw the solar options I decided to give it a try, especially with the 8 hour battery life. So far I'm not seeing 8 hours of battery life. This morning around 6am I went outside and turned off the solar panel so they just charge all day. I'll put them on tonight and see if they last longer. I also noticed that when I touched the connection to the solar panels they turned on as if there was a short in the connection. However, I will try to remember to report my results. I hope they do better. I don't like turning them on and off, but it makes sense to leave them charging all day and glowing all night.
