These handkerchiefs washed and dried nicely. There are no unraveling threads. They are not now misshapen. I am very pleased with them. They are also pretty! I ordered solid colored ones from this same company, and they are the same high quality. Yes, there are a few wrinkles, so iron them, if you must. But, these are just hankies, after all, and meant to replace tissues. Making them from permanent press cloth would just add chemicals to them. Is that what you would want near your nose, or when you wipe tears from your eyes? Perhaps, you might want to iron one to take to a formal occasion. I also learned first hand in a sewing class, that ironing can shrink and misshapen cloth.
