This monitor has totally exceeded my expectations. I have always been more of a high end TV lover, used to play all my games on a Samsung q9fn 4k HDR TV but decided to try an ultra wide monitor. I absolutely needed 1440p and 144Hz. This is non-negotiable. And it had to be a VA panel. Ips might be better for shooters, but nothing bothers me more than blurry images and backlighting with gray black spots. The contrast on this monitor doesn't disappoint, which is impressive considering I'm used to a TV with close to 600 local dimming zones. The brightness is also excellent for a monitor. They say it's 400 nits, which I think is true. Not bright enough for true HDR, but perfect for close-up gaming. Slightly lighter and I think eye strain will be noticeable. The colors are good. I'm not sure if this is a true 10-bit panel, but there is almost no banding in the tonal gradations on the screen and the amount of color is very impressive. In general, this is a hell of a value. The overall aesthetic is nothing fancy, but very clean and simple. The back looks cheap but you never look at that part so who cares. If you have money, buy. You will not regret it.
