Reworked a flock of meat birds and these bags worked great! My only advice would be to not follow the directions for the duration of the soak. The leaflet says 10-12 seconds, but I've found that if you hold it in boiling water for that long, the meat will start to cook. I started doing 5-8 second dunks and they shrank well. Throw away the straw too! It was an unnecessary fuss. Put the bird in, squeeze out all the air, turn the bag and close the zipper almost completely, soak the bird, and then tighten the zipper. My birds have been in the freezer for over a week and are still perfectly sealed with no ice crystals in the bag.
