I'm disappointed. I've had to switch lightbulbs multiple times - each time something changed on my home network - and each time it was incredibly difficult to connect, last time taking a full hour before I gave up. Let's be clear - I'm a computer person. I understand networks and connectivity. I fix problems that don't work regularly and quite successfully. This is not something to troubleshoot. The signal from the light bulbs is too unstable and the interface for connecting them simply cannot compensate for this. lightbulbs in my network. I see them in my router. Instead of looking for devices on the WiFi to see if there are any connections to eavesdrop on, they instead try to broadcast their own weak wireless network for the phone to connect to, thus initiating the connection. At first it's fine to connect lightbulbs to WiFi, but when they're already connected to the network because you've struggled with that before, it's like trying to tether a horse in a stable with a flimsy rope; it's inefficient and pointless. The UI for changing colors, creating color cycles, and creating other presets also leaves a lot to be desired, but I don't plan on launching another tirade. I only bought them because they were the only brand I could find with this bulb. If you're looking for a standard colored LED bulb, just choose the bigger brands and save yourself the hassle. Your time is worth it.
