Review on Wireless headphones Sony WH-1000XM3, silver by Dorota Poniak (Grand ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

I've never had a pair of headphones that could block out ambient sounds. Most likely had higher hopes. The device is intriguing regardless, as it effectively muffles background noises such as a snowplow, a vacuum cleaner, the metro, etc. Such dreary clattering of machinery. If there is a conversation going on nearby, you might hear it, but you wouldn't be able to make out the words. The headphones do a poor job of isolating even relatively acute sounds like the squeaking of adhesive tape. Overall, I'm satisfied with the feature, as I prefer to work in total silence. This is especially nice for my elderly ears. In addition, I think the sony app has great sound customization options and pleasantly surprising settings. After installing the app and playing about with the sound, I started listening to all of the classic songs, and the experience was unlike any other. There are other sound settings, such as having music play exclusively from the left or the back of the room. Sound effects that mimic those of a concert, nightclub, etc. There are five different modes, and each one makes the music sound different and cool. (You can listen to your favorite songs in their original and alternate forms while getting a buzz.) The speakers clicked and wheezed constantly for the first two weeks, and they seemed to be dangling and rattling. For the service, I had planned to bring it along. I became mad after reading the forums. But then I went to my music library (I listen to a lot of music), and saw that the low-frequency equalization was activated there, clashing with the Sony app and causing unwanted background noise to play. It's fascinating how disabling the equalizer completely eliminated the background noise. I have included photos of this beast for your perusal. If you want to avoid the sensor's unpleasantness, try pressing on its edges to create some raised dots. Let's say we want to skip to the next song. The headphones must be held on the right side of the head, but there's a catch: they must be held perfectly perpendicular to the earpiece, not the floor. The brain, for instance, wants to shift to the right while seated in a reclining chair so that it is parallel to the floor, whereas the correct position is perpendicular to the edge of the headphones.

Pros
  • 1) Everyone has their own opinion on how the headphones should look, however I think they have a sleek, contemporary design. 2) The sound quality, the sound is superb; if you are not a hifi crazy with your copper cables and not adherents of wires, you will like the headphones. Three) An abundance of batteries. I wore my headphones to work all day and sat at my desk for a total of 12 hours, as is typical for me; I charge them once every three days. 4) It comes with a handy carrying case. 5) Noise cancellation, the cutting-edge technology underlying which (the first such headphones, and therefore impressions in the comments) Sony's app would give it a perfect score of 10 because it's so cool. 7) They don't hurt your head or anything while you wear them. To add my two cents, I've heard a lot of people complain that their headphones hurt their ears, but I've found that this is only the case if you pull the headphones out very far from the headboard; this shifts the headphones' weight away from the crown of the head and onto the ears, which can cause fatigue after prolonged use. My ears hurt when I pulled it out by three sections; when I switched to two sections, the pain subsided and now I sit quietly all day. ate one and a half hours later (03/12/21) and everything sounds fine in my ears. Whoever wants to save money and not take version 4, take it without hesitation) The cover hasn't frozen yet, but I also try to avoid touching it with dirty hands.
Cons
  • 1) The bass isn't working in any of the surround sound settings other than "off." For instance, if a song included both a bass melody and a vocal, the bass would be muffled and the volume would drop dramatically as soon as the voice started. Some such a very noticeable drop, did not expect this. A evident flaw of Sony. In overall, this is a fascinating arrangement; every song may be heard in a different light, but the jarring variations detract from the experience. 2) You have to manually pick the headphones in the sound source every time you receive a call, which is really aggravating because I use an iPhone and that device has an option for airpods to automatically receive a call to airpods if linked to an iPhone, but there is no such trivial on sony. Perhaps I'd rather connect to my "chebuChinas" than my "WH 1000XM3" headphones, but Sony doesn't let me to rename them like I can with my AirPods or JBL speakers. 4) The fabric used for the cover quickly becomes dirty, and the unpleasant texture makes holding it a chore. Textured plastic would have been a better choice. It's annoying when people keep asking you to muffle your voice when you cough or the door opens and closes. 6) Weak sensor, difficult to change songs - discussed below 7) Noise reduction separate tale in the comments 8) The official working week is 30 hours long, but I can only pull an 18-hour shift. The ability to switch between devices (9) is not done well.
