Review on TRIWONDER Lightweight Waterproof Ankle Gaiters for Hiking & Backpacking – Low Gators for Walking & More by Alexander Scharon

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Snow was not allowed for 4 days.

Mixed feelings. I bought 4 pairs for the family to go hiking in light snow. I thought they were disposable but I had to save $$ so . Here I am. We hit a lot more snow than I planned and these things actually did a good job of keeping it off. They also basically lasted every 4 days which surprised me. Some of them can be reused. If you're in a bind like me, that's fine, but if you plan on using them twice, grab something better. The biggest problems: 1. They are very uncomfortable on bare skin (unless you are wearing pants) 2. The leg strap is terrible, the sincher is flimsy (one broke) and doesn't hold up. (They still worked with boots, but you could definitely trip over them)3. Elasticated ankle cut fits all sizes. mostly works, but more customization would have been better. Overall, our feet stayed pretty dry in them. They were lighter and cheaper than the OR Rocky Mountain Lows, which I would have bought if money wasn't an issue.

Pros
  • Sports and outdoor activities
Cons
  • The cord is shorter than others
