Who spills alcohol-based solvents on their bed and expects it to be protected, then blames the mattress manufacturer for a poor outcome? It is designed to protect against water-based liquids at room temperature. The instructions clearly state not to tumble dry. Hang up for Pete. I bought it despite the stupid negative reviews. It arrived exactly as I expected. This is a flexible fabric case with a plastic backing. Just as they have all been made for the last 30 years. These are ALL materials of the same kind unless you buy organic. If you buy organic, you know what? They are not waterproof and expensive. Since all mattress pads under $50 are basically the same, you can either buy one made in China or one made in the USA. Choose the one that you feel will benefit the economy you are a part of.
