Review on Canon EOS 600D Kit EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II, black by Stanislaw Szczesny ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent quality, absolutely not expected for such a price.

A little less than a year ago, I found myself getting carried away with photography, and the 600D quickly became the first one-eyed companion I had. Choose your selection from 60D to 600D. In the end, I came to the conclusion that the difference in price, which is 1.5 times as much, is not justified. It should be stated with quite a bit of confidence that the 600D, for a beginner who is interested in photography as an amateur, will be sufficient for practically all of the most strenuous endeavors and for a considerable amount of time. The apparatus was assembled with a bang: no elevators, squeaks, meter-long slots and gaps that collect dust, as it is not known that I did not find it. I pair it with the Canon 40mm f/2.8 STM and the Canon 17-85mm f/4-5.6 IS USM lenses. As content as an elephant, both in terms of scenery and portraiture, everything justifies itself to the absolute maximum extent. Continue in this vein, Canon! And, brothers, just a simple plea from the bottom of my heart: well, don't chase the red ring on the lens on the crop! That will not benefit you in any way, but rather put a strain on your finances. To tell you the truth, I had been thinking about making the jump to 6D;)

Pros
  • 1. A price that is more than sufficient: I purchased it in St. Petersburg for 16300 rubles, though I only purchased the Body, as I do not see any value in the lens that comes with the Kit. 2. A rotating screen. When shooting, using it to raise or lower the camera in relation to eye level is a really convenient thing to do when you need to do either of those things. 3. Inexplicably, there is not a touchscreen available. For me, I didn't see any benefit in it, but I can see that it's just another pointless system that's always at risk of failing at the worst possible time. 4. Support for both EF and EF-S lenses, although I have one caveat: in my opinion, lenses designed for full-frame cameras (more specifically, Canon L-series lenses) are not useful for crop sensors. 5. Having a low weight while also being compact and dependable. 3xUgh, yet it has never failed me, not even when it was freezing cold or pouring with rain (-10 *). 6. An extremely capacious battery that can take between 300 and 350 photographs. In the chill, somewhere between 150 and 200. The fact that two out of the four sticks point to the fact that the battery is soon to die is the only thing that brings this feature down. 7. The overall high quality of the craftsmanship; everything functions exactly as it should, and the dust does not get into the cracks when it is used as intended.
Cons
  • We haven't been able to locate it just yet, but perhaps that's for the best. Possibly an APS-C matrix, although this is not even a drawback; rather, it is a characteristic of entry-level DSLRs in general.
