Not bad but details could be better

It was nice. Not quite happy with the details/mixed colors but still looks ok. Finished contemporary art size, 13.75 x 13.75. The square drill bits are of fairly good quality although some had moisture in the bags and were sticking together. 32 colors. This one is wrapped around a foam core, most others are just wrapped around a jewelry/tool set. All need to be aligned first, but that way they won't wrinkle. Not all diamond paintings are created equal, here's what I've learned so far: 1. Size matters. The bigger it is, the more detail you can get. A complex image doesn't look good small. For example, if the image is supposed to have silhouettes of people in the distance, but they are less than half an inch tall, they don't have arms, legs, etc. The images they show behind the sofa, etc. are *not* to scale, and while some measurements refer to the actual painting, most refer to the entire canvas. So don't buy frames until you've seen them in person or gotten a response from the seller or whoever previously bought them. 2. The same picture may differ from different sellers. With one supplier it can be complete, with another only partially. Some drills may be square, but most are round. Most importantly, they don't all come with the same number of different colors. One can have 14 colors and another supplier can have 28 colors. The number of colors available completely changes the look of the shading and the realism of the image, helping it look smoother and less pixelated.3. Make sure you check if it's a full or partial workout. Most sellers show a few pictures, but only occasionally show when it's full. Don't trust the description in the title. Even if you have seen it in full from another provider, the same image may be different.4. Look for a picture of the actual canvas (or a finished picture in the reviews) so you can see if it's full or partial, you can see how many colors it has, and you can tell how many by the canvas details there will be. Unfortunately, most sellers only show unusable images that are not to scale. behind a sofa, over a fireplace, in a black frame, in a gold frame, etc. Pictures showing canvas and real exercises are much more helpful, but still read descriptions and reviews because the information is not always accurate. Prices vary but don't always reflect what you're getting. You can't be sure if the more expensive one is bigger or has more colors, sometimes the cheaper one is. Take the time to make sure you get what you want. Ultimately, it pays to search, read the descriptions, and ask questions if you can't find the information. You will be happier and end up with a more beautiful picture.

Pros
  • 3. Instructions: Beads in numbered packs match the color chart on the side of the picture. Place several beads of the same number in a plastic tray. Take a "pen" and dab the end with a sticky cloth in a square block, then take a bead and place it on the corresponding number on the canvas.
